I'll Be Honest...

I haven't blogged in the past two weeks because I haven't felt like it.
I just wasn't in the mood to write.
I'm back now though.

I received the Stylish Blogger Award from Alison at One Luck Monkey.
You should head on over to her blog after you read this.
She has the cutest little girl!

Thank you so much for the award, Alison!
I appreciate it!

1. Thank and link back to the person who send you this award.
2. Share 7 things about yourself
3. Award 15 recently discovered great bloggers.
4. Contact the bloggers you picked and let them know about the award

Seven things about myself:
1. I am obsessed with Hobby Lobby! They always have sales going on. I could spend hoursss in there just wandering around.
2. Heights used to not bother me. I've recently found out they do now. It makes me really uneasy and dizzy being up so high.
3. Another recent obsession of mine? Nail polish. I especially love buying nail polish from China Glaze and OPI collections.
4. I recently started a photography course and I am excited to learn things I never knew about.
5. I can't fall asleep unless the t.v. is on. If Jon falls asleep before me (which is rare) then I'll put the volume real low and set the timer so it doesn't stay on all night.
6. I am a nanny.
7. Finding seven things about myself was actually harder than I thought.

My New Holy Grail Hair Products

Do not walk but RUN to your nearest Ulta (or anywhere else they sell it).
You must get your pretty little paws on these hair products!

You're probably wondering now what on earth I am talking about, huh?

I recently bought two products from the It's A 10 line.

First I went and bought their Miracle Hair Mask.
I've been using it for two weeks now. I've used it twice each week.
It makes my hair feel so silky smooth. I thought I had found the best product ever invented.

That was until I bought this little baby.
This ya'll is actually the best hair product ever.
It does 10 things for your hair, hence the name.

This bad boy:
1.) Repairs dry damaged hair
2.) Adds shine
3.) Smooths & controls frizz
4.) Seals & protects hair color
5.) Detangles
6.) Prevents split ends
7.) Stops hair breakage
8.) Creates Silkiness
9.) Enhances natural body
10.) Flat iron spray & thermal protector

After I get out of the shower I comb my hair and then spray this all throughout my hair.
My hair has seriously never felt softer.
It just feels overall healthy again.

You must go buy at least the Miracle Leave-In Product!
I promise you will love it.
If you don't then...
I'm sorry?

Oh How I Love To Read!

I really do love to read.

So much that when I was younger my parents would take away my books when I was grounded.
I could sit in my rooms for hours on end and just read.

I honestly haven't done much reading lately though.
When I started college my personal reading took a seat on the back burner.

Now that I am taking a break this semester I have decided to pick it back up again.

I just picked up two books on Saturday from Target.

Look Again by Lisa Scottoline and A Lucky Child by Thomas Buergenthal.

When reporter Ellen Gleeson gets a "Have You Seen This Child?" flyer in the mail, she almost throws it away. But something about it makes her look again, and her heart stops—the child in the photo is identical to her adopted son, Will. Her every instinct tells her to deny the similarity between the boys, because she knows her adoption was lawful. But she’s a journalist and won’t be able to stop thinking about the photo until she figures out the truth. And she can’t shake the question: if Will rightfully belongs to someone else, should she keep him or give him up? She investigates, uncovering clues no one was meant to discover, and when she digs too deep, she risks losing her own life—and that of the son she loves. Lisa Scottoline breaks new ground in Look Again, a thriller that’s both heart-stopping and heart-breaking, and sure to have new fans and book clubs buzzing.

Thomas Buergenthal, now a Judge in the International Court of Justice in The Hague, tells his astonishing experiences as a young boy in his memoir A Lucky Child. He arrived at Auschwitz at age 10 after surviving two ghettos and a labor camp. Separated first from his mother and then his father, Buergenthal managed by his wits and some remarkable strokes of luck to survive on his own. Almost two years after his liberation, Buergenthal was miraculously reunited with his mother and in 1951 arrived in the U.S. to start a new life. Now dedicated to helping those subjected to tyranny throughout the world, Buergenthal writes his story with a simple clarity that highlights the stark details of unimaginable hardship.

I've only gotten into the second chapter of Look Again but so far it's good.
After I get done reading it I'll be sure to let you know how I liked it.

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In #29

I haven't done this in forever! So I thought I would give it a go again.

1. Since most of the country has had nasty weather, what has your weather been like this week?
It's been awful! Way too cold! We got sleet and then snow last night. People were so crazy on the roads today. They were slipping and sliding everywhere. There were a couple of times where our tires just kept spinning and we weren't going anywhere. It's funny that it took a week to get here but it took a couple of hours to melt.

2. What is/are your best money saving tip(s)?
We plan our meals before we go shopping. Everyday there isn't a day where I don't have something to cook. It's really cut down on our grocery bill. We aren't going in there blind wondering what we should and shouldn't be getting.
3. What was your favorite vehicle you’ve ever owned??
It would most definitely be my current vehicle! My 2011 Honda Civic. I've had it for three and a half weeks now.

4. What is a question you’d like to see asked in a future fill-in? (Your question & blog just may appear one week!)
What has been your favorite duty station and why?
(Sorry if this question has already been asked!)
5. Fill in the blank: You might be a MilSpouse if….
Hearing noises from the gunneries and artillery at home don't phase you anymore.
