It's official!

I finally have time to sit down and write. We have been going non-stop since Friday! I'm just going to give you a play-by-play on what my weekend entailed.

Friday-
We got up and took Thumper, our rabbit, to the vet. She had the sniffles and we wanted to get that looked at. We then needed groceries really bad so that took almost 2 hours in itself. Afterwards we loaded up the car and drove down to my mom's house (which is only an hour away). My Nana and Papa cooked us a wonderful dinner of beef steak drowned in brown gravy with mashed potatoes and squash. Jon and I stayed up way past our bed time playing board games with my two younger cousins.

Saturday-
My 20th Birthday!!! We had some errands to run so we got ready and headed into town. We stopped at Wal-Mart to get Jon's front two tires balanced and they told us it was going to be and hour and a half wait to we reluctantly walked around Wal-Mart waiting for his car to get done. We happened to be in the area (where they fix the cars) about and hour later. The guy comes up and says, "Oh! Glad you guys stopped by. Your car has been ready for a while now. We can't balance your tires because the tread is too low." I was really annoyed they didn't call us over the intercom or something like that.
After all that we headed towards the mall because I wanted to stop into Aerie. Aerie is my favorite ever! I'm not obsessed. So I grabbed some unmentionables and a super cute pair of sunglasses that were originally $20 and on sale for $5! By then we were starving! There's a sushi place inside the mall so we stopped and got some spicy tuna rolls. They were the best that I have ever had!! They were delicious!
After we were done at the mall we headed back to my Uncles (He was out of town and lives right around the corner. My nana and papar were staying there and we stayed in the spare bedroom) We relaxed until it was time to go over to my Mom's house for my birthday dinner. My Mom cooked fried chicken, okra salad and mashed potatoes with my Nana's brown gravy. I died and went to heaven! She made me the best dinner I had in a while!
So after dinner we all sat at the table with my cake and front of me. As they finished singing, I looked to my right and Jon was down on one knee. He asked me to marry him!! So it is now OFFICIAL!!! I now have a ring to show it! I was so happy he chose to do it in front of my family. It ment the world to me. My cheeks were hurting so much from the hug smile I had. He couldn't have picked a more perfect ring. It's so unique!

Ignore my fat fingers and chipped nail polish!

After dinner my Nana and Papa went back to my uncle's to watch Nascar. Jon and I stayed back with my sister, Mom and step-dad (Darell.) We stayed up for a while and played the wii. We had a blast!

Sunday-
My mom gave me a gift certificate to Charming Charlie's and since we don't have one in Killeen I wanted to go ahead and go into town and use the gift certificate. I picked out two pairs of dangly ears and a pair of diamond studs. Oh, and I also bought a makeup bag. My makeup started to overflow out of my old one.
After we did that we went back to Fort Hood and went to Freedom Fest for a couple of hours. We were going to stay to watch Seether play and then to see the fireworks but we were so hot, sweaty and bored. We decided to go see Toy Story 3 in 3D. It was a good movie but kind of a waste of $24. We should have waited for it to come out on dvd. I did cry at the end though. It was just too sad not to cry.

Monday (today)-
Needless to say, today has been a very lazy day for us. We woke up at like 10am (which I NEVER sleep in that late. Sleeping in late for me is 8am.) I made breakfast and we have just been lounging around the house.
I got some disappointing news today which kind of put me in a yucky mood. I had interviewed for a nanny position a week agao that was going to pay a generous amount. I thought I had the job in the bag. Turns out I didn't. She emailed me back saying that they had decided to go with someone else. I am so bummed about it :( I'm moving on about it though.

Well that was our weekend and I am still so over the moon about Jon proposing! We have decided to do a quick wedding with the JOP in October and then Next summer will be the big shebang so we can have time to save. We want to be able to do anything with our wedding and that takes lots of money.

I hope you guys all had a fantastic Fourth of July!
