Surprise!

A surprise is what I got about four weeks ago. Jon and I found out we are pregnant! I went to the doctor on May 11th to confirm it. I was pretty sure after 5 digital tests that I was pregnant but I knew I should go see a doctor. I went in there thinking I was 4 or 5 weeks at the most. That was not the case at all!  At the time I was approximately 8 weeks and 1 day. I was definitely suprised!! I am now 10 weeks and 1 day. I had my first ultrasound on May 18th and it was amazing! I saw our little peanut and it was love at first sight. Hearing the heartbeat is one of the most fantastic things ever! I actually cried when I heard it.

I've actually been lucky and have not had an ounce of morning sickness. Although I can't brush my teeth or tongue anymore without gagging. The only other syptoms I've had is exhaustion and my "girls" are sore.

I'll leave you with a picture of our little peanut =)

Oh! Look what they did to my arm when they drew blood :/

I've got Adele on repeat.

Whenever I'm in a sad funky mood I put Adele on repeat and sulk. There is just something about her voice and the lyrics that help me cry. I think a long cry is good every once in a while, at least for me it is.

I know I haven't wrote in over a month. My apologies. I doubt anyone is reading this but at this point I'm writing to help release all the emotions I'm feeling at the moment. Life has been pretty crazy since starting my new job at the beginning of last month. I feel as if all I do is sleep, eat, work and repeat. I enjoy my new job that I'll be leaving in less than a month.

Yep, you read that correctly. My new job ends on May the 7th. Why? I'm moving to the middle of nowhere, aka Cimarron, Kansas. Jon is getting discharged from the Army next month. We found out last Friday. It's a long story and I would rather not talk about it. He did nothing bad, he hasn't disgraced the Army, nothing of the sorts. To say this is very unexpected is an understatement. My job alone won't pay the bills and there is no work for him in Killeen. I hate when everything is going great and then life comes and knocks us on our ass.

So off to Kansas we go. We'll be living with his parents until August. Then Jon will be going to school in either North Carolina or Houston, Texas. I'm hoping for the latter. I'm always up for an adventure but I'll be honest, I'm scared. I have a big family and I am so used to seeing them anytime I want. I can't do that when I move 10 hours away. It's scary.

I just don't want them to forget about me. They already do with me living an hour away.

Just A Quick Update

I haven't wrote anything in two weeks. It's been a long two weeks.

I start a new job on Monday. I'll be working as a receptionist at a spa.
I'm excited for the new opportunity but I will definitely miss Caden.
Who seriously wouldn't miss this precious face?
He calls me "Tika".
When I first started working with him I would tickle him and he would want me to tickle him more.
His mom and I thought he was calling me "Tika," it turned out he was just saying tickle.
It's become my name now though.

I've recently dove head first into photography and I'm really enjoying it.
A friend of mine had twins and I got the wonderful opportunity to photograph them.
I'm kind of hesitant to show them though.
I'm still learning as much as I can and I don't think at the moment my photographs are up to par.

This is my last weekend to not have to work Saturdays.
I'll be honest, I really enjoyed not having to work on the weekends.
Good thing is the spa is closed on Sundays so I'll at least have that day off.
I plan on just relaxing this weekend.
We've been going, going, going for the past few weekends.

What are your plans for this weekend?

I'll Be Honest...

I haven't blogged in the past two weeks because I haven't felt like it.
I just wasn't in the mood to write.
I'm back now though.

I received the Stylish Blogger Award from Alison at One Luck Monkey.
You should head on over to her blog after you read this.
She has the cutest little girl!

Thank you so much for the award, Alison!
I appreciate it!

1. Thank and link back to the person who send you this award.
2. Share 7 things about yourself
3. Award 15 recently discovered great bloggers.
4. Contact the bloggers you picked and let them know about the award

Seven things about myself:
1. I am obsessed with Hobby Lobby! They always have sales going on. I could spend hoursss in there just wandering around.
2. Heights used to not bother me. I've recently found out they do now. It makes me really uneasy and dizzy being up so high.
3. Another recent obsession of mine? Nail polish. I especially love buying nail polish from China Glaze and OPI collections.
4. I recently started a photography course and I am excited to learn things I never knew about.
5. I can't fall asleep unless the t.v. is on. If Jon falls asleep before me (which is rare) then I'll put the volume real low and set the timer so it doesn't stay on all night.
6. I am a nanny.
7. Finding seven things about myself was actually harder than I thought.

My New Holy Grail Hair Products

Do not walk but RUN to your nearest Ulta (or anywhere else they sell it).
You must get your pretty little paws on these hair products!

You're probably wondering now what on earth I am talking about, huh?

I recently bought two products from the It's A 10 line.

First I went and bought their Miracle Hair Mask.
I've been using it for two weeks now. I've used it twice each week.
It makes my hair feel so silky smooth. I thought I had found the best product ever invented.

That was until I bought this little baby.
This ya'll is actually the best hair product ever.
It does 10 things for your hair, hence the name.

This bad boy:
1.) Repairs dry damaged hair
2.) Adds shine
3.) Smooths & controls frizz
4.) Seals & protects hair color
5.) Detangles
6.) Prevents split ends
7.) Stops hair breakage
8.) Creates Silkiness
9.) Enhances natural body
10.) Flat iron spray & thermal protector

After I get out of the shower I comb my hair and then spray this all throughout my hair.
My hair has seriously never felt softer.
It just feels overall healthy again.

You must go buy at least the Miracle Leave-In Product!
I promise you will love it.
If you don't then...
I'm sorry?
